The State Agency for Religious Issues was visited by Carlos Martins Ceglia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Georgia.

The religious policy of the Georgian government and the existing religious landscape in the country, the main functions and activities of the Agency, the tolerant environment in the country, and the financing of religious organizations - these were the main topics of the introductory meeting. Zaza Vashakmadze, as always, focused on the facts of gross violations of human rights, including religious rights, in the occupied territories.

The Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Georgia thanked Zaza Vashakmadze for his reception. He particularly emphasized Brazil's support for the territorial integrity of Georgia. The Brazilian Ambassador expressed his desire to establish relations with the Agency.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Agency presented the Ambassador with the publications of the Agency - "Functioning Cult Buildings in Georgia as of 2023", "Functioning Cult Buildings in Tbilisi as of 2020", "Occupied Heritage" and "Religions in Georgia".
