The Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Mustafa Turker.

During the meeting held at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, Zaza Vashakmadze briefed the guest on the activities of the Agency. He spoke about the protection of the rights of religious minorities, including the Muslim community of Georgia, the increase in financial support and unhindered access to religious buildings. He also highlighted cases of violations of religious rights in the occupied territories. The meeting was also attended by the Religious Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, Mahmut Gol.

The Turkish Ambassador thanked the Chairman of the Agency for the reception and for providing detailed information.
