On the 3^rd of November, in Akhaltsikhe in the village of Mokhe, Adigeni municipality, a regular meeting of Mokhe Commission studing the existing circumstances regarding the status of the half-ruined building planned to be opened as a club, was held.

On the 30^th of October at the International Society for Krishna Consciousness Temple Krishna followers celebrated Govardhan Puja festival and prayed to Krishna. This feast is connected to the legend according to which Krishna protected people and animals from specially targeted disaster, lifting a huge Govardhan hill by a pinky and provided a shelter for them. 

Zaza Vashakmadze, chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues and Rayan Koening, Political Officer of the US Embassy in Georgia in terms of working meeting held at the Administration of Government of Georgia discussed current situation of Georgia regarding freedom of religion as well as cooperation with confessions, state religious policy and the details of the issues still to be solved in this sphere. 

A working meeting of the interreligious council existent under the State Agency for Religious Issues was held at the Administration of Government of Georgia which was attended by the representative of the National Statistics Office of Georgia Zurab Kevanishvili

The representatives of the State Agency for Religious Issues and Georgian Branch of FriedensBote Mission visited Akhaltsikhe and provided the socially vulnerable population with necessary humanitarian assistance, 2 tons of clothing. 

On the 23^rd of October, in Bolnisi, solemn ceremonies dedicated to the 199^th anniversary of Germans’ establishment in Georgia were held, such as public warship at the St Paul’s Evangelical-Lutheran Church, laying a wreath at the memorial and festive evening at Bolnisi Culture Centre.

The working meeting between Zaza Vashakmadze, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues and Zeki Levent Gumrukchu the Ambassador plenipotentiary and extraordinary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia was held at the Administration of the Government of Georgia. The issues discussed at the meeting focused on the Muslim community, promotion of traditional Islam and religious education. The Ambassador positively assessed the activities done in this regard by the state and the agency. He noted that “extraordinary works are being implemented in this direction by the state”. Zeki Levent Gumrukchu offered Zaza Vashakmadze to get introduced with the experience of Turkey concerning religious education and further cooperation in future. 

Today on the 11^th of September the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze held a sort of introductory meeting with the representatives of Tbilisi organization of International Society for Krishna Consciousness Joseph Kapanadze (“Ishvara”) and Alexander Kirkitadze. The guests informed the chairman about the activities of the organization and expressed a desire to cooperate with the agency. For his part, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues introduced the agency’s activities and declared his satisfaction regarding meeting the representatives of Tbilisi organization of International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
